Description
The Director of Operations is an integral member of the Leadership Team, responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of multiple facilities while driving business growth through active involvement in business development activities. This role combines operational excellence with a strategic focus on expanding the company’s market presence and customer base. The Director of Operations will collaborate with various teams to optimize plant performance, ensure customer satisfaction, and identify new opportunities for growth.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Extensive and diversified background with 5-10 years of experience in plant management or manufacturing engineering
- Knowledge and experience in the application of lean manufacturing process and strategies to achieve process efficiency
- Understanding of financial principles and strong commitment to budgetary limitations
- High sense of urgency and strong multi-tasking abilities
- Superior written and verbal communication abilities
- Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills required
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff, teams and major projects or initiatives
- Strong relationship building skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leader who will inspire, motivate and manage a team
- Sets and communicates goals and objectives and holds team accountable for results
- Provides constructive feedback and coaching to achieve superior performance
- Acts as an agent of change by challenging the status quo, making decisions, and taking tough actions when required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
