Position Summary: This position oversees all aspects of the women’s flag football program, including coaching, recruitment, practice and game preparation, academic monitoring, scheduling, travel coordination, budget management, and NJCAA compliance. The head coach is responsible for developing student-athletes on and off the field while promoting sportsmanship, leadership, and the college’s standards of conduct.
In addition, this role supports athletic department operations by assisting with equipment and weight-room maintenance, game-day administration, facility setup, and evening operations at Ketcham Community Center.

LOCATION: Trenton, Missouri-Main Campus
Essential Functions: Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
· Responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of all facets of the program.
· Prepare and adhere to operational and scholarship budgets set by NCMC.
· Duties include but are not limited to: overseeing academic success of team members, recruitment, practices, game day prep, travel, community event participation requests, and general coaching duties.
· Serve as head coach and demonstrate compassion and concern for the academic and physical well-being of team members.
· Training and developing student athletes, making travel arrangements as needed, fundraising, maintaining equipment, facilities and supplies management, academic monitoring, rules adherence and compliance.
· Establish practice schedule and roster. Communicate schedule and other information as needed to athletes, public relations, Ketcham and Athletic Director.
· Provide skill and strategy instruction to student athletes in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the sport.
· Enforce and model discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times, and establish and oversee penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
· Develop the season schedule and keep the Athletic Director Informed.
· Utilize the Athletic Director as a resource for process and procedure implementation.
· Inventory equipment and recommend purchases of equipment, supplies, and uniforms as appropriate through the Athletic Director.
· Plan and schedule a regular program of practice
· Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and fulfill reporting obligations as required by the Clery Act.
· Promote and uphold the college’s high standards of conduct and reputation.
· Work with the Athletic Director to stay up to date on new trends and developments within the flag football landscape as it relates to the NJCAA
Equipment & Athletics Assistant
· Monitor proper maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of weights and weight room area
· Coordinate with proper fitness vendors for bi-annual preventative care and maintenance
· Assist with KCC facilities large event set ups
· Assist with game day administration for athletic events as assigned by the Athletic Director
· Assist with day to day evening operations at KCC
· Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) and fulfill reporting obligations as required by the Clery Act.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience: Demonstrated recruitment of quality student athletes is required. Candidates must have an understanding of sport/college rules and regulations. Knowledge of the college recruiting process and an ability to connect to coaches at the college level is essential.
Skills: Sustains a culture of sportsmanship, professionalism and respect at all levels.
Physical Demands: Must be able to move distances, ascend/descend stairs, and remain in stationary position. Must be able to bend to reach the floor and reach above shoulder height. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both face-to-face and on the phone. Coaches must also have the physical ability to participate in and demonstrate the sport being coached. Travel required during college sports season.
Environmental Demands: Fluctuations while moving on tile and carpeted floors in a heated and air conditioned environment. Working in a gym and in settings where noise is elevated. Be able to perform and adapt to ever-changing weather conditions while outside in competition or practice.
