Job Description

 

The Commercial Regional Sales Manager plays a critical role in expanding Bestbath’s commercial business by identifying new project opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and driving sales growth across the South-Central territory. This role is designed for a new customer hunter: a sales professional who knows who Bestbath’s ideal commercial clients are, how to find them, how to open doors, and how to position Bestbath products with the right decision-makers early in the project lifecycle.


Focused on commercial markets in both remodeling and new construction, the Commercial Regional Sales Manager builds relationships with architects, engineers, developers, general contractors, owners, purchasing teams, and channel partners to increase product specification, project visibility, and sales opportunities. This individual is responsible for identifying high-value targets, uncovering active and upcoming projects, and creating a strong pipeline of commercial opportunities that align with Bestbath’s products, capabilities, and growth strategy.


Using a consultative, relationship-first sales approach, the Commercial Regional Sales Manager integrates seamlessly with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote long-term customer partnerships, deliver tailored product solutions, and elevate Bestbath’s presence in the market. This role requires a self-directed sales professional who can balance new business development, specification influence, account management, project follow-through, and consistent territory growth.

Requirements

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Manages, develops, establishes, and prioritizes goals, objectives, strategies, and business systems for the assigned South-Central territory. 
  • Actively hunts for new commercial customer opportunities by identifying ideal Bestbath prospects, researching target markets, opening doors with decision-makers, and building a qualified pipeline of high-potential projects and accounts. 
  • Identifies projects, design professionals, developers, owners, general contractors, and local, state, and federal authorities responsible for new construction and renovation projects within the assigned territory. 
  • Builds and executes a territory strategy focused on new customer acquisition, product specification, project identification, account development, and measurable year-over-year sales growth. 
  • Positions Bestbath products with architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and channel partners to influence specification and purchasing decisions early in the project lifecycle. 
  • Negotiates and closes sales of assigned Bestbath products. 
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with property developers, vendors, architects, engineers, contractors, industry leaders, and channel partners. 
  • Identifies and targets potential customers while managing key accounts. 
  • Establishes and manages national accounts as assigned. 
  • Manages accounts assigned to the territory while maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer files. 
  • Updates and maintains book of business. 
  • Determines pricing and other sales variables and provides quotations. 
  • Attends and manages trade shows in the assigned territory. 
  • Manages follow-up activities and appropriately updates the company CRM system. 
  • Compiles reports and data and resolves issues related to customer orders. 
  • Analyzes and reports sales figures within the assigned territory and provides insights and suggestions regarding competitor actions, market conditions, project opportunities, and potential improvements to company performance. 
  • Studies product literature, makes travel arrangements, files expense reports, and works with internal resources to provide samples and product information. 
  • Works with other company departments, as needed, regarding orders, quotes, credit applications, samples, specifications, submittals, and other customer business. 
  • Keeps management fully and accurately informed concerning work problems, market opportunities, customer needs, and territory issues. 
  • Provides on-site help with installation of new units and/or training customers to properly install Bestbath products. 
  • Uses standard office equipment in the normal course of work.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills


  • Must be located in the South-Central US territory: Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, or Colorado. 
  • Building products specification experience required, including experience working directly with architects and/or engineers during the design process. 
  • Proven ability to hunt for new customers, identify high-potential commercial prospects, and build a qualified pipeline from the ground up. 
  • Strong understanding of how to identify ideal Bestbath customers across commercial construction, remodeling, specification, developer, contractor, owner, and channel partner markets. 
  • Demonstrated ability to research markets, uncover decision-makers, initiate contact, and convert new business opportunities into active customer relationships and project opportunities. 
  • Experience identifying commercial construction projects and influencing product selection before purchasing decisions are finalized. 
  • Self-directed sales professional who is comfortable building territory strategy, prioritizing high-value opportunities, and consistently driving new customer growth. 
  • Must have experience and/or a combination of education and experience in providing customer service, including assessing customer needs, achieving customer service expectations, and evaluating customer satisfaction. 
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience, or a combination of experience and education, in construction or a related discipline. 
  • Bathing-specific industry knowledge is a plus. 
  • Accessible and aging-in-place industry knowledge is a plus. 
  • Composite industry knowledge is a plus. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and be insurable. 
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Must be proficient in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Requires traveling a minimum of two weeks per month. 
  • Must have excellent presentation, organizational, and time management skills. 
  • Experience using HubSpot is a plus. 
  • Requires good credit history.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work is performed primarily in an office environment with moderate noise level. The employee in this class is frequently subject to inside/outside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Constantly requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.
  • Constantly requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, up to 8 hours and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Occasionally requires driving a motor vehicle to customer sites.
  • Constantly requires clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the employee to communicate effectively.
  • Constantly requires clear vision to read printed materials and computer screen to accomplish work.
  • Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
  • Occasionally requires driving for time periods of 8hrs.
  • Occasionally has to push and/or pulls shower and bath unit displays at tradeshows to set them up. These units may exceed 800 lbs.
  • Occasionally bends at knees and waist to move shower and bath units.

Compensation

Total Cash Compensation: $100,000 –$150,000


Travel Requirements

This role requires frequent travel in territory and to national trade shows. Occasional travel to either of our production facilities in Idaho and Tennessee. Overall, travel averages about 2 weeks out of each month.
