Critical Care Transport Nurse / SCTU
Description

TriCare Medical Transportation is South Jersey’s premier medical transportation company. We are a large-scale 24/7 operation with over 300 employees and 130 vehicles, providing service from our headquarters in Pleasantville, NJ and two satellite locations in Vineland and Cherry Hill.

 

As a SCTU Nurse, you will work collaboratively with an EMT crew to treat and provide care for critically ill patients on an inter-facility transport ambulance.

Scheduling Information

  • Full-time Transport Nurses will work three 12-hour shifts per week.

Compensation

  • Less than 2 years of SCTU Experience $46.00 hr
  • 2 or more years of SCTU Experience $50.00 hr
  • EMT/Paramedic Certified: Additional $6.00 hr
  • Overnight shift differential

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of New Jersey
  • At least 1 year of full time RN nursing experience in the Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and CPR certifications required
  • Prior SCTU (Specialty Care Transportation Unit) experience preferred but not required
  • Obtain NJ EMT Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Organization and the ability to properly utilize a confined space
  • Must be comfortable with heavy lifting as needed
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and attention to patient comfort
  • Detail-oriented regarding protocol adherence and documentation compliance
  • Ability to think quickly and react appropriately in critical situations without the presence of a physician
  • Capacity to maintain composure while working in a fast-paced, challenging environment
