Champion Mill Conference Center is seeking an energetic, motivated, and professional Sales Intern to support our sales efforts and help grow event business opportunities. This role is ideal for a student or emerging professional interested in hospitality, sales, marketing, and event management. The Sales Intern will represent Champion Mill Conference Center through outbound calls, lead generation, client outreach, and administrative sales support. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in venue sales and client relationship development.
This part-time Summer 2026 position will work approximately 20 hours per week at a rate of $20.00 per hour.

Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct outbound calls on behalf of Champion Mill Conference Center to prospective clients, businesses, organizations, and community groups
- Generate leads for meetings, conferences, weddings, social events, and group bookings
- Collaborate with the sales team on promotions and business development strategies
- Provide exceptional and professional customer service at all times
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with prospective clients
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and self-motivated work ethic
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, CRM systems a plus)
- Interest in hospitality, sales, marketing, or event management preferred
- Previous customer service or sales experience is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Physical requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, standing, sitting, bending, reaching with hands and arms, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing and smelling. The team member will be frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
- Must be physically capable of demonstrating skills during practice that relate to the sport, such as running.
- Lifting requirements: The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and/or move up to 10 lbs. regularly, and occasionally up to 25 lbs.
- Noise Level: The noise level in this environment is typically moderate to loud.
