We are seeking a self-motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) - Sales Intern to join our growing team. This role is a great fit for someone who is eager to learn, highly detail-oriented, and excited to build a foundation for a future career in sales or complex, solution-based technology selling. As a BDR Intern, you will play a critical role behind the scenes in supporting our Business Development team. You’ll be responsible for building and refining targeted prospect lists, researching industrial technology companies, and preparing high-quality data that enables our BDRs to operate more efficiently and effectively. Using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo, you’ll identify key decision-makers, map out accounts, and help set the foundation for successful outbound efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is curious, organized, and motivated to learn the ins and outs of top-of-funnel sales strategy. While you may not be the one making the calls (yet), your work will directly impact the success of the team by ensuring they are equipped with the right information to engage the right prospects at the right time. Job Description:

This position will give you the opportunity to - 

  • Build and maintain targeted prospect lists to support outbound sales efforts across a growing and energetic BDR team
  • Conduct in-depth research on industrial-based manufacturing companies, supporting industries such as paper mills, automotive manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, and many more
  • Utilize tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo to identify key decision-makers and buying groups
  • Partner closely with BDRs and sales leadership to align prospecting efforts with go-to-market priorities
  • Continuously refine and improve data quality, segmentation, and targeting strategies
  • Support daily prospecting activities by preparing call lists, account insights, and relevant context
  • Track and manage data within CRM systems (HubSpot) to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Learn and develop foundational sales skills, with exposure to outbound calling, messaging, and pipeline generation
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (or recent graduate) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in sales, business development, or technology
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to research, organize, and analyze information effectively
  • Curious and eager to learn—especially about industrial industries, manufacturing environments, and how businesses operate
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to take initiative
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and learning new tools and systems
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and support others
  • Previous internship, campus involvement, or part-time work experience is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or CRM platforms like HubSpot is a plus, but not required
