Basic Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Sales & Marketing Manager is to lead the advertising, marketing and sales efforts for Assisted Living and St. Anna’s at Lambeth House. The position also coordinates internal resident transfers throughout the continuum of care at Lambeth House. Ultimately, the objective of this position is to meet or exceed all sales goals as established by BSI, Inc.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
General administrative and sales duties for Nursing Care and Assisted Living
- Develop and implement sales strategies that increase/maintain overall census and revenue growth.
- Provide expert marketing advice to Administration and to the departments of Nursing and Social Services.
- Act as a consultant in matters of marketing, advertising, and public relations matters related to Nursing Care and Assisted Living at Lambeth House
- Develop a Marketing Plan for Nursing Care and Assisted Living annually. Additionally, to revise the plan (if needed) throughout the year to ensure plan is in line with BSI business objectives.
- Represent BSI in addressing complaints and grievances from current and future residents of Lambeth House. Consult with other department directors to achieve issue resolution.
- Create and customize advertising collateral on behalf of BSI for Nursing and Assisted Living
- Update print collateral as needed. Stay abreast of program changes and reflect them in print advertisement
- Build and leverage long-term relationships with referral sources (including, but not limited to physicians, hospital discharge planners, social workers, home health care staff, etc.)
- Develop and update target list for referral contacts.
- Implement and adhere to a consistent call cycle that includes no less than 15 face-to-face contacts per week.
- Continuously modify sales strategies and plans to ensure optimal business outcomes.
- Maintain and update customized database for all prospects
- Update continuum census for C.F.O. on daily basis.
- Respond to all inquiries (phone, website, and/or walk-ins) from potential prospects.
- Conduct tours to prospects and families.
- Professionally represent LH and/or St. Anna’s at community events and outreach engagements, presenting to groups as necessary.
- Informs, directs and monitors performance of AL/NC marketing/outreach efforts, ensuring steady flow of inquiries and move-ins.
- Understands and executes application, admission, and RA documents.
New Reservations and Waiting Lists for LH and SAR
- Coordinates follow-up for potential residents/families re: required forms.
- Executes follow-up re: physicians and medical information needed.
- Schedules/coordinates Lambeth House and St. Anna’s assessments.
- Coordinate move-in arrangements and follow-up.
Apartment/Room Turnovers for LH and SAR
- Coordinate vacates with staff, resident and family:
- Explain procedure to resident/family (all items must be removed from the apartment).
- Confirm date for move-out.
- Secure return of all keys, emergency pendant(s) and storage lock (if applicable).
2. Coordinate cleaning/restoration with Housekeeping/Maintenance Depts.
3. Confirm all standard turnover “punch lists” have been completed.
Move-In Administrative Duties
- Confirm move-in dates and communicate to LH or SAR depts.
- Confirm move-in “readiness” of apts./rooms.
- Coordinate keys, emergency pendants, Resident Handbook, Move-In gift, etc. ready for new resident.
4. Provide and review Resident Handbook, Work Order procedures, policies, etc. with new resident.
5. Distribute/post new resident profile
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
2. Must be high school graduate with some college preferred.
3. Must possess critical thinking skills and take initiative to resolve problems.
4. Must understand “resident-service/customer service” philosophy and appropriate
communication.
5. Must be proficient in MS Word, ACT!, Excel & Outlook.
6. Must be detail-oriented and able to balance competing priorities.
7. Must have a high level of respect for confidentiality.
Typical Physical Demands
1. Must possess ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
2. Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
