The role 

As Senior Director of IT, you’ll help build the technology foundation for Homewise’s next chapter. You’ll work closely with our Deputy CEO to shape where we’re headed, then make it real. That means leading a strong team, running secure and resilient systems, and putting new tools to work for our mission. 

What you’ll do 

• Build what’s next. Partner with the Deputy CEO on a forward-looking technology strategy across cloud, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity and emerging tools like AI, and turn it into roadmaps that deliver. 
• Put innovation to work. Lead the rollout of major platforms, including an aggressive approach to using AI to enable our mission. Make sure they fit together, scale well and create real value for our customers and teams. 
• Lead great people. Be a leader in a culture that values curiosity, ownership, experimentation, and thoughtful risk management. 
• Protect the foundation. Make sure everything we build is secure, reliable and compliant, including cybersecurity, disaster recovery and incident response, so innovation never comes at the cost of trust. 
• Invest boldly and wisely. Manage IT budgets and vendor partnerships with the CFO and Deputy CEO, betting on the right technologies and getting the most out of them. 
• Partner across Homewise. Work with leaders in every department to rethink how work gets done and find ways technology can help us serve more families, better. 
• Translate tech into impact. Explain complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical people, and lead with steady judgment when the stakes are high. 

What you bring 

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership, including leading other IT leaders 
• A track record of leading enterprise technology strategy and large-scale platform implementations 
• Hands-on experience with, or real curiosity about, AI and automation and how to apply them responsibly 
• Strong grounding in cybersecurity, risk management and compliance, ideally in a regulated industry like lending or finance 
• Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts and complex technology initiatives 
• A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field (a master’s degree or certifications like CISSP, CISM, ITIL or PMP are a plus) 
• A builder’s mindset and real excitement about using technology to change people’s lives
