Description

 Under general supervision, performs work of considerable difficulty in Supplier Quality and Quality Management Systems. Measures, tracks, and reports on process performance and continuous improvement initiatives, driving a culture of quality ownership across all departments. Leads the development and continuous improvement of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) to improve product quality, optimize processes, and lower costs. This position is 100% on-site. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develops, deploys, and measures process quality measurements (i.e. customer returns, scrap rates, on-time deliveries. First pass yield, cost of quality, product defects, etc.) 

· Indefinites areas where improvements in product and process quality can be made by monitoring quality metrics and analyzing underlying data

· Manages and executes the internal audit program, including training internal auditors  

· Represent quality department for external audits and certification bodies

· Ensure internal and external audit findings are addressed with timely and effective corrective actions

· Monitors supplier performance and establishes quality action plans

· Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality, establish feedback within the company, and ensure effective correction action is implemented

· Leads product failure investigations; identifies and resolves product-related quality issues

· Conducts internal manufacturing operations (supplier and products) when necessary

· Reviews and recommend updates to Crescend quality policies

· Trains team on quality policies and continuous improvement methods

· Ensures and documents ISO compliance standards

· Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY/MENTORSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES  

May exercise supervision of personnel in relation to area of responsibility and or mentor/coach other employees.

Requirements

· Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality system requirements 

· Proficiency in root cause methodologies (8D, 5 – Whys, Fishbone, etc.)

· Convey excellent oral and written communication

· Proficient with troubleshooting, problem solving, development and influencing others

· Advanced skills in casual analysis and closed looped corrective action programs with ability to coach, mentor and train production team members and technical subject matter experts

· Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word. 

· Experience with Enterprise Resource planning (ERP) systems

  

REQUIREMENTS PREFERREED

· American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification preferred 

· Electronic assembly 

· Proficient in ERP platform Epicor  

  

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

Completion of a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline; and 3-5 years’ experience in quality engineering or an equivalent combination of experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job such as those listed above.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work is done in both an office and manufacturing environment. Typically engages in the following movements: Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling typing, writing and repetitive motions. Exerts up to 5 pounds of force regularly, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. May occasionally need to lift/move up to 15 pounds.

Salary Description
$85,000-$115,000 Annually
