Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and service-oriented J-1 Intern/Trainee to join our Rooms Division team. This program offers hands-on experience across key guest-facing departments, including Front Office, Guest Services, and Communications. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, culturally curious, and passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.
Program Structure (Rotational):
Participants will rotate through the following areas:
- Front Office: Guest check-in/check-out, reservations support, cash handling, and problem resolution
- Guest Services: Concierge assistance, guest relations, amenity coordination, and service recovery
- Communications: PBX operations, call handling, guest request coordination, and internal communication flow
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests
- Learn and follow brand and property service standards
- Assist with daily operations in each assigned department
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and effectively
- Maintain clear and professional communication with team members and leadership
- Support operational needs, including peak business periods, weekends, and holidays
- Demonstrate adaptability while rotating between departments

- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Rooms Division operations
- Build strong guest service and communication skills
- Gain exposure to hospitality systems and service standards

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Hospitality, Tourism, or related program
- Eligible for a J-1 Visa (Intern or Trainee category)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Previous hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
