Lead Lot Operations for 400+ Boats in Stock

Boater’s World Marine Centers is actively expanding our team at our Lake Placid, FL location as we head into peak boating season.


With over 400 boats in active inventory and 100+ units arriving monthly, we are seeking a highly organized and operationally driven Lot Manager to take ownership of inbound inventory, lot control, and unit flow across the dealership.


This is a critical, hands-on leadership role responsible for protecting the dealership during receiving, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating the movement of units from arrival through readiness for sale.


Key Responsibilities

Inbound Receiving, Inspection & Accountability

  • Oversee and coordinate the unloading of incoming units (forklift operations involved) 
  • Conduct detailed inspections of all incoming boats at time of delivery 
  • Verify VIN numbers, manufacturer documentation, and unit accuracy upon arrival 
  • Identify and document any transport damage immediately to ensure proper claims processing 
  • Ensure no unit is accepted without proper inspection to protect the dealership from liability 

Inventory Intake & Tracking

  • Scan, tag, and track all incoming units using inventory systems and stickers 
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory visibility across the lot 
  • Ensure all units are properly logged, labeled, and positioned upon arrival 

Inventory Flow & Coordination

  • Coordinate the flow of 100+ inbound units monthly through the dealership process 
  • Work closely with the Detail team to prioritize unit readiness and turnaround 
  • Partner with Sales leadership to ensure units are staged, photographed, and ready for listing 
  • Assist with positioning units for photos, online listings, and customer presentation 

Lot Operations & Organization

  • Maintain full organization of a 400+ unit lot, ensuring accessibility and efficiency 
  • Implement structured systems for high-volume inventory management 
  • Ensure the lot remains clean, professional, and customer-ready at all times 

Team Support

  • Provide direction to Lot Porters and support staff as needed 
  • Assist with task delegation to ensure full coverage and efficiency 
  • Support hands-on operations during high-volume or critical periods 

Boat Handling & Movement

  • Safely move and position boats, trailers, and equipment across the property 
  • Support loading and unloading operations with a strong focus on safety
Requirements
  • Experience in lot management, inventory control, or dealership operations (marine, automotive, RV, or powersports preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of inventory receiving and inspection processes 
  • Experience verifying VINs and documentation accuracy 
  • Comfortable working around heavy equipment and large unit movement 
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to communicate effectively across departments 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
