Position Summary:

  

The Senior Management Accountant will serve as a technical accounting lead across multiple US entities, combining public accounting expertise with internal financial oversight. This role is responsible for reviewing and improving financial records, supporting month-end close, advising on accounting treatment, and partnering with internal finance teams and external advisors.

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Review historical financial data across multiple entities to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP
  • Identify accounting issues, inconsistencies, and process gaps and provide guidance or corrections
  • Act as a technical accounting resource to finance teams
  • Review month-end close deliverables including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Support complex accounting areas such as payroll, tax entries, fixed assets, and depreciation
  • Assist with preparation and review of financial statements and tax filings
  • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting firms
  • Support tax planning activities and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Standardization and improving accounting processes
  • Provide guidance and review work 
  • Support due diligence and integration of acquisitions

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with month end close, reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Understanding of tax compliance and multi entity environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to review work and provide clear, actionable feedback
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort with accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills, especially with non-finance teams
  • Ability to work independently, advise others, and improve processes 
Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Experience managing multiple entities or clients
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA or CPA eligible
  • Multi-entity or multi-currency experience
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Sage
  • Experience working with auditors and tax advisors
