Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Donut Baker to join our early morning production team. This role is responsible for preparing, frying, and finishing a variety of donuts while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. Weekends are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mix, scale, and prepare brioche dough for donut production
- Cut and shape dough into various donut styles
- Proof and fry all types of donuts to proper specifications
- Glaze, fill, and finish donuts with consistency and attention to detail
- Perform daily fryer maintenance, including filtering and cleaning
- Maintain proper oil levels and monitor fryer performance
- Follow opening procedures and complete daily prep lists
- Prepare ingredients and items for production (e.g., egg wash, fruit cutting, fillings)
- Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous baking or kitchen experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to work overnight/early morning shifts starting at 2:00 AM or 4:00 AM
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with brioche or enriched doughs
- Familiarity with commercial fryers and bakery equipment
- Team-oriented mindset with strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
This Baker position is a physically demanding position. The employee will be on their feet for most of the shift and are expected to left heavy objects.
Salary Description
$15 - $20 an hour
