Job Title: General Electrical Superintendent

Job Summary:
The General Electrical Superintendent is responsible for leading and delivering electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role combines project execution, financial oversight, and team leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards and client expectations.
This individual will play a key role in driving operational excellence, developing team members, and supporting the company’s growth across multiple projects and regions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Project Management & Execution
· Manage all phases of electrical construction projects including take-offs, scheduling, coordination layouts, documentation, and project closeout
· Oversee labor, materials, submittals, procurement, and project documentation
· Review drawings and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and change order opportunities
· Lead change order pricing, billing processes, and financial tracking
· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
Financial & Operational Oversight
· Own and manage project budgets from initiation through completion
· Track labor productivity, costs, and project performance metrics
· Utilize financial and project management software to monitor job performance
· Support forecasting, workload planning, and resource allocation
Leadership & Team Development
· Lead, manage, and develop project teams and field staff
· Drive accountability, performance, and on-time execution across teams
· Mentor and coach team members to support growth and skill development
· Foster a positive, high-performance team environment
Technical & Quality Oversight
· Ensure adherence to electrical codes, standards, and client requirements
· Provide technical guidance and support to project teams
· Maintain quality control and consistency across projects
Client & Stakeholder Management
· Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, clients, and suppliers
· Represent the company in job meetings and project discussions
· Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners to resolve challenges
Business Support & Growth
· Assist with proposal reviews, scope development, and pre-construction planning
· Support business development and growth initiatives
· Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
· Participate in contract negotiations and project pursuits; assist with proposal development and client presentations.
· Ensure company policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently followed.
· Uphold confidentiality and represent the company with integrity and professionalism.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proven leadership and mentorship skills; ability to manage teams across multiple projects.
· Advanced knowledge of construction processes, project controls, scheduling software Microsoft, Procore, and financial reporting tools.
· Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; capable of building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to perform under pressure, prioritize effectively, and make data-driven decisions.
· Strong business acumen with a track record of delivering profitable and high-quality projects.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and project management platforms.
· Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings.
Education and Experience:
5+ years of project management experience with an electrical contractor
Physical Requirements:

The role may require occasional standing, walking, or bending to file documents, attend meetings, or move between office areas. Ability to safely navigate active construction environments, including uneven surfaces and elevated areas. Occasionally lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 lbs. Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with moderate to high noise levels.
