Dental Assistant


Join our dedicated team at Canyonlands Community Healthcare Dental site(s) as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the direct supervision of primary care dental services to patients.

- Help patients resolve minor difficulties, answer their questions, and provide directions as authorized by the dentist or dental hygienist.

- Serve as a chair-side assistant to the dentist or dental hygienist during procedures.

- Prepare operatory rooms for patient treatment following CHC protocols and the directions of dental professionals.

- Expose and develop dental radiographs in compliance with state regulations, laws, and CHC Dental department protocols.

- Perform delegated and directed independent procedures to support dental care delivery.


Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification preferred.

- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is advantageous.

- Knowledge of dental procedures, radiography, and infection control protocols.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow detailed instructions.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.

Salary Description
$18.75-$26.26 hr, $39,000-54,600 Annually
