PURPOSE OF JOB:
This non-supervisory position is responsible selling and delivering new and pre-owned vehicles to customers, and for consistently achieving personal sales goals and other dealership metrics.
JOB DUTIES:
Customer Sales & Service
- Use the Romain Sales Path process to establish and build successful relationships with customers. Comprehend, learn and practice the steps in the Sales path process to continuously improve your effectiveness with the selling system, with the assistance of Sales Managers.
- Develop and implement your Business Plan. Monitor your performance and make adjustments as necessary to achieve the results identified in your plan. Prepare monthly and annual forecasts consistent with your Business Plan and take action to achieve forecasted results.
- Fully utilize the company’s designated CRM (Customer Relationship Management) System to manage selling activities and communicate vital customer information to the Business Development Center and Sales Management.
- Provide World Class service to all customers, internally and externally.
- Conduct business in an honest, professional manner consistent with United Companies’ values, philosophies and mission statement.
- Sell and deliver a minimum of ten (10) vehicles per month.
- Schedule a minimum of three (3) appointments per day. “No show” appointments do not count towards meeting this requirement.
- Use three payment/down payment process on ALL sales.
- Accurately complete all documents associated with the sale of each vehicle.
- Assist the Sales Manager with the preparation and presentation of price information to customers.
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with customers for as long as they need personal transportation.
- Support the Financial Services Department with proper endorsements of Finance and Insurance (F&I) products.
- Take responsibility for achieving the Financial Services’ per vehicle income objectives with your customers.
- Demonstrate a continual interest in learning the business and in developing improvements that lead to your achievement of sales performance and other business metrics.
- Attend and actively participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings.
- Maintain work areas in a clean, neat, and orderly fashion.
- Attend specialized training meetings as required by management and/or the manufacturers.
- Assist Sales Management with inventory maintenance and display.
- Abide by Company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Attend one-on-one daily meetings with your Sales Managers, or designee.
General
- Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
- Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
- Travel as business needs may require.

Education:
- High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.
- Some college experience is preferred.
Experience:
- 1+ years of Customer Service experience is preferred.

- Ability to self-start to utilize provided materials to take ownership of consistently achieving personal and business objectives.
- Ability to find workable solutions to a variety of customer and business issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all business-related information.
- Must possess and continuously maintain a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
