Description

An Access Medical Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a key role in delivering compassionate, high quality care within our clinic. This position supports both patients and providers by performing essential clinical tasks, ensuring accurate documentation, and helping create a welcoming, efficient environment. We are looking for an LPN who is dedicated to patient wellness, thrives in a collaborative setting, and is committed to providing safe, supportive care to every individual we serve! Details include:

  • Support patient visits by monitoring vital signs, obtaining medical history, assisting with minor procedures, performing phlebotomy, and providing direct patient care under provider guidance. 
  • Administer medications and vaccinations accurately and safely in accordance with clinic policies. 
  • Perform point of care testing and enter accurate orders for labs and diagnostic tests in the EMR. 
  • Document patient care thoroughly and timely, including changes in condition, services performed, and medications administered. 
  • Use EMR systems efficiently for clinical and administrative tasks, including entering charges and maintaining up to date patient records. 
  • Educate and support patients and families by offering health information, guidance, and wellness promotion.

Requirements
  • High school diploma.
  • Current, unrestricted LPN license in the applicable state; must remain active and in good standing throughout employment.
  • Current BLS certification (must stay active while employed).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical equipment/supplies.
  • Understanding of basic laboratory procedures, including preparation and screening.
  • Knowledge of infectious disease management, safety standards, and proper control measures.
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal medical orders accurately.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient centered approach to care.
  • Ability to make appropriate independent decisions when needed.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and a consistently positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
  • Professional work ethic with strong relationship building skills across associates and vendors.


What Would Be Great to Have

  • Additional or advanced BLS certification beyond the required level.
  • Previous experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
