Koopman Lumber is looking for an experienced CDL Truck Driver (Class A preferred, Class B considered) to join our Uxbridge Distribution Center team.This isn't just a driving job. What You'll Do
- Safely operate Class A or Class B commercial vehicles to deliver lumber and building materials.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials using forklifts, Moffett forklifts, and manual material handling.
- Deliver products safely to active construction jobsites and residential locations.
- Pick up returns and verify returned materials.
- Inspect loads for accuracy, quality, and proper securement before departure.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections along with required DOT documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch using tablets, smartphones, and delivery software.
- Maintain a clean, safe vehicle and represent Koopman Lumber professionally at every customer location.
This is a hands-on position. Drivers are expected to assist with loading, unloading, material handling, and customer service every day.
- Valid CDL Class A preferred (Class B candidates with the right experience are encouraged to apply).
- Massachusetts Hoisting License (1C) required.
- Experience operating Moffett forklifts and warehouse forklifts strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Comfortable working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, safety-focused, and committed to excellent customer service.
- Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for routing, communication, and delivery documentation.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 80 pounds, with occasional lifts up to 100 pounds.
- Frequent bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and material handling throughout the workday.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and DOT physical.
