Job Summary:

Plant Prefab is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented temporary Operations Assistant to support day-to-day operations at our Tejon Ranch, CA facility. This role will provide administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager while also assisting the Shipping & Receiving department with inventory-related tasks and organization. This is a temporary onsite position anticipated to last approximately 3–4 months and will report directly to the Operations Manager.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Operations Manager 
  • Assist with data entry, filing, document organization, and general office tasks 
  • Create and print inventory labels and assist with inventory organization 
  • Support the Shipping & Receiving department with administrative and operational tasks 
  • Maintain accurate records using Excel and other computer systems 
  • Assist with tracking materials, inventory, and deliveries 
  • Coordinate and communicate with multiple departments as needed 
  • Answer phones, emails, and assist with general office support

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous administrative, operations, warehouse, or manufacturing support experience preferred 
  • Basic Excel and general computer skills required 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills  
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required 
  • Comfortable working in both an office and warehouse/manufacturing environment 
  • Startup mindset - ability to be resourceful and determined to succeed; striving to reinvent an industry
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and drive urgent matters with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with others in order to complete tasks.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the mission of Plant Prefab.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a steady – fast paced environment and properly adjust between the two at a moment’s notice.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be flexible enough to kneel, reach, grip, bend, twist, ext. as required.
