Position Overview
Oversee and manage daily operations for the grounds maintenance program at Ft. Bragg. Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and serve as the primary point of contact between the Contractor and the Government. The PM will be responsible for the successful execution, coordination, and performance of all work performed under the contract.
Position contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Contractor’s designated Project Manager responsible for overall contract performance.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Contractor and the Government Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Exercise full authority on all matters relating to daily operations and personnel management.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, project execution, reporting, and operational activities.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, environmental, safety, and health regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain documentation related to project activities and compliance.
- Lead meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
- Support emergency response coordination and hazardous operations as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce all safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications & Certifications
The Project Manager must possess the following qualifications and certifications:
Required Certifications
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120(e)(8)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health certification in accordance with 29 CFR Part 1926
- Qualified to wear Respiratory Protection per 29 CFR 1910.134
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing Government or Federal contracts
- Background in environmental remediation, hazardous waste operations, construction management, or industrial services
- Experience with safety audits, inspections, and compliance reporting
- PMP Certification or equivalent project management training preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
Additional Requirements
- Active participation in a Medical Surveillance Program
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Strong understanding of federal safety regulations and contract compliance
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and supervise field personnel effectively
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and field environments
- Ability to work in potentially hazardous or industrial environments
- Occasional lifting, walking, and outdoor work may be required
