Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, engaging with customers, and maintaining a clean bar environment. This role requires knowledge of drink recipes, excellent customer service, and multitasking in a high-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers, take drink orders, and make beverage recommendations.
- Mix and serve beverages according to recipes and standards.
- Create and suggest new cocktail recipes and drink specials.
- Check identification for legal alcohol service compliance.
- Maintain inventory and order bar supplies.
- Process transactions accurately and maintain the cash register.
- Keep the bar area clean and sanitized.
- Follow food safety and quality guidelines.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Ability to lift 20-40 lbs and stand for long periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have valid TABC certification
- Must have valid food handler’s card
- Meets minimum legal age to serve alcohol.
- Prior bartending experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of drink mixing techniques and tools.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
