Position Function: Responsible for advancing the philanthropic mission of ACH Child and Family Services by designing and executing donor engagement, stewardship, and annual giving strategies that deepen relationships, strengthen donor retention, and grow lifetime donor value. Reporting to the Development Director (DD), the Donor Engagement Manager manages the donor lifecycle across individual and corporate donors through strategic outreach, communications, and meaningful engagement opportunities. Requires sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and a commitment to donor-centered fundraising practices.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a business, communication or liberal arts field.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated fundraising experience with a strong emphasis on donor engagement, stewardship, and annual giving. Proven success in donor retention, relationship management, and coordinated outreach efforts across multiple donor segments. Experience using constituent relationship management (CRM) systems to inform strategy, track engagement, and analyze performance metrics required. Demonstrated organizational, leadership, and written communication skills essential.

Key Expectations/Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with the Development Director to establish annual giving and donor engagement goals and develops tactical plans to achieve those goals.
- Manages the annual giving program, including donor acquisition, renewal, upgrades, and individual giving campaigns (including monthly giving programs, employee giving initiatives, and donor societies), ensuring a donor-centered approach throughout the lifecycle.
- Designs and implements comprehensive donor onboarding, engagement, and stewardship strategies that foster long-term relationships and repeat giving.
- Develops and executes donor journey and moves-management plans for individual and corporate donors, leveraging data, engagement history, and capacity indicators to guide outreach.
- Oversees donor acknowledgment and recognition efforts, ensuring timely, accurate, and meaningful communication aligned with donor preferences.
- Contributes to and manages a coordinated matrix of donor communications, including email, direct mail, phone, text, and personal outreach, in collaboration with development and communications staff.
- Collaborates with ACH program leadership to translate mission impact into compelling donor engagement opportunities, including briefings, site visits, and stewardship experiences.
- Monitors and reports on key donor engagement and annual giving metrics, including donor retention, recurring giving growth, and upgrade performance, using CRM data to inform continuous improvement.
- Leads and coaches annual giving and development staff to promote donor-centered practices, consistent messaging, and high-quality stewardship execution.
- Supports the Development Director on special fundraising initiatives as assigned, including direct mail efforts, cross-departmental campaigns, and selected events, contributing in a strategic and effective manner.
