Description

  

Responsible for leading and managing box build

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end box build manufacturing including assembly, integration, test, and shipment.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team; set technical direction, priorities, and execution plans to deliver on schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Identify and address technical risks, system bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies that impact team productivity and outcomes
  • Think outside the box to find innovative processes and solutions to reduce production costs without negative impacts on quality and reliability.
  • Active participation in project due diligence with cross functional team.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide status updates on design deliverables and present design plan sets to customers, internal cross-functional teams, and others as needed.
  • Manage supplier technical engagement for precision parts and subassemblies, including vendor selection, qualification, and issue resolution.
  • Support in-house NPI team in delivering products on time by helping to follow up and drive issues to closure.
  • Track, publish, and review program KPIs (schedule, yield, quality, cost, readiness metrics) and escalate risks/issues proactively.
Requirements

  

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with 3~5 years of system integration and metal box build assembly experience. 
  • Solid experience in box build electrical and functional testing equipment and procedure.
  • Strong proficiency in Program Management is required.
  • Experience with high-mix, low volume production environments.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and prioritize workload based on customer’s needs.
  • Must be proactive. Ie, think many steps ahead and create contingency plan.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to excel in a professional environment with a lot of cross functional collaboration. 
  • Strong execution-focused mindset with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Hands-on technical leader with strong electrical and mechanical engineering experience; get involved in day-to-day tasks to assure peak performance and a safe work environment for everyone.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage short deadlines and to follow a disciplined work process. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex technical, operational and organizational problems.
Salary Description
$85,000 - $160,000
