Joseph J. Magnolia (“JJM”) is currently seeking an experienced New Construction HVAC Sr. Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems and equipment on active construction projects throughout the DC metropolitan area.
A $2,000 signing bonus is available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVACR systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and manufacturer specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical system issues.
- Perform equipment start-ups, testing, commissioning, and warranty repairs.
- Assist manufacturer representatives with equipment start-up and inspections.
- Perform testing of HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure proper operation.
- Utilize tablets, iPads, and digital software for communication and documentation.
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with HVAC, mechanical, gas, and electrical codes.
- Manage multiple jobs and schedules while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Journeyman HVAC License required.
- Journeyman Gasfitter License preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Experience troubleshooting high-voltage equipment and controls.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and crews independently.
- Proficient with tablets, iPads, and digital service software.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
