Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class
events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is
unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP
attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation
producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance
Amphitheater. Opening in 2026, COTA’s amusement park is a 20-acre theme park

Job Description:
The internship program at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) offers students and early-career professionals a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the live events
and motorsports industry. Interns will work alongside experienced staff to support the
planning and execution of high-profile events, gaining valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes operations that drive COTA’s world-class productions.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced
environment. The ideal candidate will be able to balance strong relationship-building
and networking skills with the precision and organization needed to contribute to
seamless event execution.
Requirements & Essential Functions:
- Minimum commitment of 2-3 days per week in office (15-25 hours/week) with a flexible schedule, including the ability to work weekends and evenings
- Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills are a must
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Positively represent COTA with all guests, clients, and stakeholders
- Provide on-site support during track rentals and events, assisting with logistics, fan engagement, hospitality functions, and COTA-Cares initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or working towards an associate’s degree
- 1 year experience in a previous role or internships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate and build relationships
- Ability to manage appropriate steps to get projects completed
Physical Demand & Work Environments:
- Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
- Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
- Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events
