Description

The Production Helper – Woodshop is responsible for supporting daily operations within the Woodshop Department by maintaining cleanliness, organization, material flow, and overall production support activities. This position plays an important role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and organized work environment that supports production goals and operational efficiency within the manufacturing facility.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily housekeeping of the Woodshop production area, including sweeping floors, emptying waste containers, and removing scrap wood, unused materials, and debris. 
  • Assist with organizing tools, supplies, equipment, and workstations to support efficient production operations. 
  • Move, sort, stage, and transport raw materials, wood components, and finished goods throughout the production area as needed. 
  • Support machine operators, assemblers, and production teams with material handling and workflow needs. 
  • Assist with maintaining inventory organization and proper storage of materials and supplies. 
  • Identify and report safety hazards, damaged materials, equipment concerns, or housekeeping issues to leadership promptly. 
  • Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and production guidelines. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and housekeeping expectations. 
  • Support teamwork and collaboration across departments to ensure efficient movement of materials and production workflow. 
  • Represent Jonathan Louis International (“JL”) positively and professionally in interactions with coworkers, leadership, visitors, and customers. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational and departmental needs. 
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing, warehouse, woodworking, or production support experience preferred. 
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. 
  • Good communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials, wood components, and equipment within established weight guidelines. 
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, varying temperatures, and limited climate control. 
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools, cleaning equipment, and material handling equipment as required. 
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, eye protection, and other safety equipment as required. Top of Form
