Job Summary
The Medical Front Desk Specialist is responsible for patient registration, check-in/check-out, collection of copays, and other balances. This position requires excellent customer services skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Check in and check out patients.
- Ensure patient and insurance demographic information is correct, and all consent forms are properly signed and completed.
- Ensure insurance cards and patient identification are on file.
- Review and obtain completed Advance Beneficiary Notifications.
- Collect on estimated out of pocket costs and previous balances.
- Answer incoming calls to the clinic.
- All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proper spelling.
- Mathematically proficient
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years required
- Experience with EMR system, Athena knowledge a plus
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computer.

Salary Description
$19-$23 hourly
