The Role
We’re looking for an Account Director who can lead complex client businesses with strategic clarity, operational rigor, and creative ambition. Account Directors serve as senior client partners, internal business leaders, and champions of work that moves brands forward. You’ll strengthen client relationships, drive organic growth, lead integrated teams, and bring focus and accountability to account performance.
What You’ll Do
Client Leadership & Organic Growth
You build trusted partnerships and help clients navigate what’s next.
- Serve as a senior strategic advisor to client leadership teams
- Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, competitive landscapes, customer behavior, organizational dynamics, and market opportunities
- Translate business challenges into clear strategic direction and actionable opportunities
- Develop account-growth plans and identify opportunities to expand RP3’s value across client organizations
- Build relationships beyond day-to-day contacts and lead high-impact conversations with confidence and sound judgment
- Anticipate risks, surface challenges early, and build alignment across client and agency stakeholders
- Monitor relationship health, client satisfaction, retention risk, and future opportunities
- Ensure RP3 consistently delivers high-quality work, a strong client experience, and measurable value
Creative & Strategic Development
You help teams produce smarter, bolder, and more effective work.
- Partner with Strategy, Creative, Media, Production, and other disciplines to shape integrated marketing solutions
- Guide campaigns and initiatives from brief through execution and measurement
- Champion work that is strategically grounded, creatively ambitious, culturally relevant, and built to perform
- Push teams toward stronger thinking, sharper insights, and more impactful ideas
- Create clarity and momentum while helping teams make sound decisions
- Present strategic and creative recommendations in ways that build client understanding, confidence, and support
Business & Operational Leadership
You lead the business behind the work.
- Oversee account financial health, including revenue planning, forecasting, scoping, staffing, utilization, and profitability
- Ensure scopes, budgets, timelines, assumptions, and staffing plans support client success and agency sustainability
- Monitor activity against scope and address changes, overages, and delivery risks early
- Partner with Account Leadership, Finance, Operations, and department leads to manage resources and capacity
- Proactively resolve operational, financial, staffing, delivery, and scope-related challenges
- Establish strong working processes that improve collaboration, communication, and efficiency
- Give agency leadership a clear view of account health, growth opportunities, financial performance, and emerging risks
Team & Agency Contribution
You contribute to the growth of our people and the agency.
- Provide mentorship and support team development in partnership with the Head of Account Leadership
- Foster collaboration and model accountability, sound judgment, and high standards
- Partner with Business Development and agency leadership on select opportunities
- Contribute to pitch strategy, proposals, scopes, staffing plans, budgets, and presentations
- Participate in pitches and support successful opportunities through onboarding and transition
What You’ll Bring
- 8–10+ years of account management or client leadership experience in an agency environment
- Proven ability to build trusted senior client relationships, grow existing accounts, and identify new opportunities
- Experience leading complex, integrated marketing initiatives across channels and disciplines
- Strong business acumen, commercial judgment, and strategic thinking
- A deep understanding of creative development and integrated campaign execution
- Experience managing account financials, forecasts, staffing, budgets, profitability, and scopes of work
- Confidence leading senior-level client conversations, presentations, negotiations, and difficult discussions
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to align and motivate cross-functional teams
- Experience mentoring team members and contributing to pitches, proposals, or other new-business efforts
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and evolving environment
Position and Hours
This is a full-time position requiring strong leadership, accountability, and adaptability. Occasional flexibility may be required to support agency and client needs.

Compensation
Salary Range: 115,000 - 130,000 Annual DOE
We believe in paying people fairly and transparently. Final compensation will reflect individual experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations
