CXAL is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented leader to oversee, mature, and scale the company’s Marketing & Brand service line capability in support of defense and federal clients. This role requires an individual contributor who provides strong leadership, executive presence, structured communication, systems thinking, and demonstrable real-world experience in successful go-to-market strategies and execution.
This role will assess current capabilities, evaluating existing service offerings, identifying gaps, and translating findings into actionable growth plans. The right candidate will have the ability to collaborate and integrate effectively across Service Lines, Account Portfolio Managers, Project Managers, analysts, and senior advisors.
This role is responsible for overseeing and executing market/audience research, strategy, messaging, design, marketing operations, and delivery of customer-related marketing, branding, and campaign-related initiatives, while simultaneously operationalizing and maturing the Marketing & Brand Service Line through clear frameworks, reusable assets, modern performance measurement practices, and scalable delivery models. The ideal candidate is a strong consultant, hands-on problem solver, and client advisor who can effectively operate in ambiguity, guide executive-level conversations, and translate complex client challenges into structured, actionable solutions that reach and engage customers and markets.
Role Responsibilities:
· Lead CXAL’s Marketing & Brand Service Line, including assessment of current capabilities and development of scalable service offerings, methodologies, templates, and delivery standards
· Establish repeatable processes, frameworks, assessments, and marketing operations practices that improve consistency, quality, measurement, and scalability
· Evaluate existing Marketing & Brand service offerings and define core offerings in alignment with organizational strategy, client needs, and customer outcomes
· Partner with leadership to identify capability gaps, staffing needs, operational risks, service line dependencies, and future growth opportunities
· Develop reusable tools, templates, playbooks, diagnostic assessments, and engagement approaches to support efficient, consistent, and scalable delivery
· Design and scale delivery models that enable the service line to support multiple client engagements while maintaining quality, consistency, and operational efficiency
· Define modern marketing performance measurement approaches, including success metrics, reporting rhythms, campaign effectiveness indicators, and insights-to-action practices
· Lead strategic marketing, branding, communications, and stakeholder engagement initiatives for Air Force, Space Force, and other federal clients
· Lead development of branding, and marketing approaches for client initiatives
· Develop executive-level presentations, strategic narratives, messaging frameworks, and briefing materials
· Ensure consistency in brand positioning, messaging, storytelling, and visual communication across deliverables
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Organization Development, Public Relations, or related field; advanced degree preferred
· 8+ years of experience in marketing and branding or related leadership roles
· Demonstrated experience leading strategic marketing and branding initiatives
· Experience operating within consulting, advisory, professional services, or client delivery environments
· Strong understanding of strategic communications, messaging strategy, brand positioning, audience engagement, and executive storytelling
· Experience assessing current capabilities, evaluating service offerings, identifying gaps, and recommending practical improvements to mature a service line
· Experience building frameworks, methodologies, assessments and reusable assets
· Strong knowledge of marketing operations and modern marketing performance measurement, including metrics, dashboards, reporting, optimization, and continuous improvement practices
· Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving, and fast-paced environments
· Experience developing executive-level presentations and client-facing deliverables
· Strong leadership, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
· Experience managing multiple priorities, stakeholders, and competing demands simultaneously
· Experience supporting government, defense, or highly regulated clients preferred
2. Familiarity with Air Force or Space Force environments is highly desirable
