Purchasing Supervisor (on-site in any WCI US location)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising and leading a team of Purchasing Specialists responsible for order placement including supplies, packaging, and parts spread across several part class commodities.
  • Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to ensure standards are met
  • Analyzing data to lead continuous improvement efforts in the purchasing process and establishing consistent work practices within team
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure material is delivered as needed and on-time
  • Supporting resolution of purchasing discrepancies and challenges
  • Building engaged and empowered teams and establish regular 1:1 and team meetings with the Purchasing team
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to work on-site in one of our US locations (Hiawatha, Iowa~Des Moines, Iowa~Cedar Falls, Iowa~East Moline, Illinois~Rock Island, Illinois~Crystal Lake, Illinois~Grovetown, Georgia)
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 4-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration/Management or another relevant field (preferred)
  • In lieu of 4-year degree, a 2-year degree in a relevant field with equivalent work experience (required)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency
  • Ability to maintain professional demeanor in a variety of settings
  • Strong communication skills
  • Advanced vendor relationship management skills including negotiation
  • Building and sustaining a healthy team and culture
  • Continuous Improvement application and/or leadership
  • Experience with Epicor ERP system
