About the Role
The Director of Product and Technology Operations (often referred to as ProdOps/TechOps Leader) bridges the gap between strategic vision and execution. This operational leader is responsible for optimization, cross-functional alignment, data governance, and the infrastructure that enables product managers, engineers, and designers to build high-impact software efficiently.
Rather than managing what features are built, this role focuses on how the organization builds them—scaling frameworks, streamlining toolchains, and removing organizational friction.
What You’ll Do
1. Process Optimization & Scalability
- Define, deploy, and scale standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the end-to-end product development lifecycle (PDLC) and AI development lifecycle (AIDLC)
- Implement Agile, Scrum, or Kanban frameworks that align engineering sprints with the product roadmap.
- Streamline cross-functional workflows between Product, Engineering, Design, QA, and commercial teams (Sales, Customer Success, Marketing).
2. Tooling, Infrastructure & Governance
- Own and optimize the product and technology tech stack (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, Kiro, etc.).
- Establish strict governance for how tools are used to ensure accurate documentation, a single source of truth roadmap data, and clean engineering backlogs.
- Manage vendor relationships, software licenses, and budgetary allocations for internal development tools.
3. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for organizational health (e.g., sprint velocity, feature adoption, release quality, net promoter score, time-to-market).
- Build and maintain operational dashboards to give executives, product leaders, and engineering managers real-time visibility into pipeline health and resource allocation.
- Champion data-informed decision-making across the technical organization.
4. Cross-Functional Alignment & Communications
- Manage the operating cadence for the product and tech organizations, including quarterly business reviews (QBRs), launch readiness alignment, and strategic planning cycles.
- Enforce the creation of technical updates into clear, high-level roadmaps and release communications for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Act as the primary operational liaison for external-facing teams to ensure seamless go-to-market (GTM) rollout of new features.

What You’ll Bring
- Professional Experience: 7+ years of experience in product operations, technology operations, technical program management (TPM), or software product management.
- Industry Focus: Proven track record in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or high-growth software development environments. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Scale Capability: Demonstrated success scaling a product/engineering organization (e.g., expanding from 30 to 200+ engineers or managing multi-regional global capability centers).
