We are currently looking to hire a Banquet Book to join our Team.

A banquet cook prepares, plates, large-scale meals for events such as weddings, corporate groups, conferences, parties, etc.

The cook will follow standardized recipes, manage food safety and ensure consistent quality of items.

Duties include but are not limited to: Set-up, food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean work area

Responsibilities: 

Food Preparation: Prepare large scale menu items according to recipes, Banquet Event Orders, etc.

Plating and buffet: ensure items are properly plated, offer good presentation

Storage and Inventory: Ensure all items and labeled and dated, ensure proper rotation of items, advise Chef of items needed for order

Kitchen Work Area Sanitation: Maintain clean and organized work area, following a ‘clean-as-you-go’ method in accordance with Health Department regulations and Property guidelines

Other Duties: Assist the Chef with other responsibilities as required

Assist the line cooks as needed during peak hours if not busy with banquets

Meet with banquet guests if needed

Skills:

Previous experience in a professional kitchen

Cooking Knowledge: Strong knowledge of hot and cold food preparation and storage

Flexibility of Hours: Must be available for work all shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
