Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and organized Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at our Minnesota fishing resort. This role is responsible for ensuring cabins, lodge rooms, guest facilities, and common areas are clean, comfortable, and ready for guests throughout the season. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a hospitality environment, leads by example, and takes pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards in a friendly resort setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations 
  • Inspect cabins, lodge rooms, restrooms, and common areas for cleanliness and quality standards 
  • Train, schedule, and support housekeeping staff 
  • Assign daily cleaning duties and monitor completion 
  • Ensure guest accommodations are prepared for arrivals and turnovers 
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities 
  • Report maintenance or repair issues to management promptly 
  • Assist with laundry operations as needed 
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards 
  • Respond professionally to guest requests or concerns 
  • Help maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment 

Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred 
  • Prior supervisory experience is a plus 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team 
  • Good communication and customer service skills 
  • Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work in a physically active environment 
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance 
  • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays during peak season 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in resorts, lodges, hotels, or seasonal hospitality 
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards 
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  • Basic inventory and scheduling experience 

Work Environment

This position works in a seasonal northern Minnesota resort setting that includes guest cabins, lodge facilities, and outdoor recreational areas. Work may involve long periods of standing, lifting linens and supplies, and working during busy tourism and fishing seasons.
