Description

General Description

The Harvest Floor Technician is responsible for the slaughter process of beef, pork as well as the splitting of hogs as experience is gained.


Job Duties

  • Work in the slaughter operation of pork.
  • Trimming and washing of carcasses.
  • Work around and with livestock.
  • Work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Learn and follow regulations set by the USDA.
  • Learn to use and sharpen a knife in an efficient manner.
  • Be aware of and follow strict safety guidelines.
  • Willing to work overtime and on Saturdays if needed. 
  • Work Schedule: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. 
Requirements

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

  • Heavy lifting (Capable of at least 50-100 lbs)
  • Long periods of walking and standing
