Job Summary
The Bartender will be passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through high-quality service and expertly crafted beverages. You’ll be responsible for pouring drinks, serving guests, and maintaining a clean, organized bar area.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet guests warmly and engage in friendly conversation.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of drink menus, ingredients, and bar specials.
- Check customer identification to ensure legal drinking age compliance.
- Monitor guest behavior and manage alcohol consumption responsibly.
- Operate POS systems, take orders, and process payments accurately.
- Keep the bar area clean, stocked, and organized throughout the shift.
- Restock bar inventory and supplies as needed.
- Check taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs or changing out kegs, if needed.
- Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible beverage service guidelines.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Requirements
Education, Skills & Knowledge
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Knowledge of drink mixing, garnishing, and bar equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Must meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe) is a plus
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
- Fast-paced bar or restaurant setting.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
