Position Summary

Chartis Federal is seeking an experienced RF Network Engineer to support the design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of mission-critical network infrastructure supporting our customer.

This role supports routers, switches, firewalls, network transport systems, and communications infrastructure required to maintain secure and reliable tactical communications capabilities.


This position is contingent upon contract award. 


Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls 
  • Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, security patching, and hotfix implementation 
  • Monitor system performance, availability, reliability, and resource utilization 
  • Conduct capacity planning and trend analysis 
  • Provide Tier II / Tier III technical troubleshooting support 
  • Support incident diagnosis and root cause analysis 
  • Coordinate with vendors, internal engineering teams, and Government stakeholders 
  • Support configuration and change management processes 
  • Perform data backup activities 
  • Maintain network documentation and technical diagrams 
  • Evaluate network performance and recommend improvements 
  • Support LAN infrastructure troubleshooting and repairs 
  • Participate in technical events, infrastructure modernization efforts, and ad hoc engineering projects 
  • Ensure cybersecurity controls and network security requirements are maintained 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience) 
  • 5+ years of network engineering experience 
  • Experience with enterprise routing, switching, firewalls, and network troubleshooting 
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking 
  • Experience supporting secure government or enterprise infrastructure 
  • Experience with change management and configuration control 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
