Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring a Medical Director in Fairmont, West Virginia.

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Executive-level outpatient leadership opportunity within a mission-driven community health organization
• Hybrid leadership model combining clinical care with administrative oversight responsibilities
• Lead approximately 15 clinical providers while maintaining direct patient care involvement
• Opportunity to shape clinical operations, provider workflows, documentation standards, and quality initiatives
• Serve underserved patient populations while helping drive operational and clinical excellence

SCHEDULE
• Outpatient-only practice environment
• Approximately 80% clinical / 20% administrative split
• One administrative leadership day weekly
• Minimum patient volume expectation of 14 patients daily

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Base salary: $215,000 – $230,000 annually for clinical duties
• Administrative compensation: $150/hour
• Relocation assistance available

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient primary care services within Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics scope
• Oversee approximately 15 clinical providers and support clinical operations
• Supervise advanced practice providers and collaborate with leadership teams
• Lead initiatives focused on documentation quality, operational efficiency, and patient care outcomes
• Oversee substance use disorder program operations
• Support underserved populations with strong Medicaid patient presence
• Partner closely with executive leadership on workflow and performance initiatives

Requirements

• Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics REQUIRED
• Minimum 10 years clinical experience REQUIRED
• Active West Virginia medical license REQUIRED or ability to obtain
• Leadership qualities and provider oversight capability REQUIRED
• Comfortable balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities REQUIRED
• Strong operational and documentation improvement mindset REQUIRED
• Experience working with underserved populations strongly preferred
• J-1 candidates may be considered
