Speech Therapist-PRN (As Needed)$50.83 per hour
Description

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services to patients in a collaborative healthcare environment while building strong relationships with patients, families, and facility staff.

Pay: $50.83 per hour. PRN as needed position. 

 

Patient Care & Therapy Services

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders 
  • Perform screenings and assessments for appropriate patients 
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans 
  • Monitor patient progress and accurately document outcomes 
  • Communicate patient needs and progress with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams 
  • Provide education and support to patients and caregivers 

Collaboration & Facility Engagement

  • Build positive working relationships with facility staff and healthcare professionals 
  • Participate in care planning meetings, family conferences, utilization reviews, and interdisciplinary team meetings 
  • Collaborate with Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), and other rehabilitation professionals 
  • Help develop and implement innovative therapy programs and techniques 
  • Educate staff and community members about speech therapy services 

Professional Excellence

  • Maintain compliance with facility policies, patient rights, infection control, and safety procedures 
  • Stay current with industry trends, clinical best practices, and continuing education 
  • Maintain active state licensure and professional certifications
Requirements

Minimum Required Education/Experience: Hold a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology (may be dually certified in audiology). Hold a valid state license.

Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

• Ability to operate general office equipment including computer software applications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees, and administration.

Note: An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.

Necessary Special Requirements: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to a two-step PPD test.

Licenses or Certificates: If driving, a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured as a facility driver

Unusual Demands: Work is subject to recurring and inflexible deadlines and frequent interruptions.
