Experience & Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners.
- Prepare and package instruments for sterilization and proper storage.
- Maintain and monitor sterilization logs and equipment maintenance records.
- Set up and break down treatment rooms between patients.
- Ensure proper disposal of biohazard and sharps waste following safety guidelines.
- Restock dental supplies and maintain organized inventory of sterile instruments.
- Assist dental assistants and dentists with maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Follow guidelines from organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for infection control
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization procedures preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow infection control protocols and safety procedures
