Jaxon is looking for a CNC Equipment Operator to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour plus OT opportunity and per diems while traveling 

Schedule: Full-Time

Travel Requirement: While this role is primarily a position located in Colorado Springs, a CNC Equipment Operator should be prepared to travel as needed. Travel expenses are paid by the company.

Security Clearance Requirement: This role requires the ability and willingness to obtain a Department of Defense Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance.

Primary Duties:

• Perform simple to complex set-up and operation of machinery and assist with machinist operations and equipment surveillance i.e. mill, saw, press brake, water jet
• Perform basic tasks including cutting, grinding, drilling, and cleaning/prepping materials
• Process all paperwork according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
• Support the team with other duties as assigned

Required Job Qualifications: 

• Able to use basic hand and power tools safely
• Able to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances 
• Willing to learn the basics of HEMP, fabrication, electrical basics, and operator duties
• Self-motivated and well organized with good English communication skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment

Desired Job Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a shop, construction, or Operator/Machinist role preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)

Must have the ability or willingness to do the following: 

• Obtain United States Passport 
• Use grinders, chop saws, drills, plasma cutters and both scissor lift & variable-reach forklifts 
• Ability to bend over, kneel and crouch for long periods of time, & able to lift at least 50 lbs.
