Overview
The Marine Expeditionary Force (MESF) Project Manager (PM) supports Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG ONE) Force Generation Professional Support Services at Navy Outlying Field Imperial Beach, California. MESG ONE develops and generates trained Maritime Expeditionary Security Force units for operational employment throughout the Navy's numbered fleets.
The PM provides overall leadership, coordination, and management of contractor personnel supporting MESG ONE training and readiness requirements. The PM serves as the primary management interface for the effort, applying extensive MESF and Navy expeditionary experience to oversee support across learning standards, curriculum management, exercise planning, force development, and training program management.
Experience
- Must satisfy one of the following recent leadership/management experience requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of Project Manager experience as a contractor within the last 5 years; or
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a uniformed service member at the E-7 through E-9, O-3 through O-5, or W-2 or higher level
- Minimum 3 years of MESF experience as a uniformed service member or Government contractor within the last 5 years
- Experience in at least two of the five MESG ONE Objective Areas:
- Learning Standards Support
- Curriculum Maintenance, Development, and Delivery Support
- Exercise Planning Support
- Force Development Support
- Echelon V/VI Training Program Management Support
- Minimum 8 years of Navy expeditionary-relevant operational, training, and readiness experience
- Prior service as a Commanding Officer, Officer in Charge, CVN Department Head, or Senior Level Administrator
- Experience preparing and delivering oral briefings and written communications for MESF leadership and organizations within the relevant community of interest
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
Desired
- Master's degree in an educational field of study
- Fluency in the use of civilian and/or Government artificial intelligence (AI) assistance tools
Security Clearance
- Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance
