Job Description for: Warehouse Associate/Machine Operator

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate / Machine Operator is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced wholesale blank apparel distribution center. This role includes order fulfillment, inventory handling, and operating warehouse machinery to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of goods.

Essential Functions

- Locate and retrieve the correct products from designated warehouse locations.

- Use RF scanners to accurately scan items and verify quantities.

- Pick, pack, and/or ship customer orders accurately and efficiently 

- Sort and organize apparel by style, size, and color 

- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning and tracking procedures 

- Replenish stock in picking locations, as needed 

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 

Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers and RF scanners

- Perform routine equipment checks and report any malfunctions 

- Follow all safety protocols when operating machinery 

- Assist with loading and unloading trucks using appropriate equipment, when needed

- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to meet business and operational needs.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse setting with exposure to moving equipment, moderate noise, and varying temperatures. The position operates in a fast-paced, production-driven environment where accuracy, safety, and efficiency are critical. Overtime, extended hours, weekends, or peak-season schedules may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Minimum 1-year previous warehouse experience is required.

- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred, but not required) 

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment 

- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

- Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced setting.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, and moving materials within the warehouse. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and operate warehouse equipment as necessary.
