Little People’s College is an early childhood development center, founded in 1980. We are a collaborative team who is devoted to children and families. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:

• Ensure educational programming policies and procedures remain up to date with current best practices and compliance with all Federal, State, local and company requirements. Drive growth with positive, proactive, consistent communication, reporting and conduct, utilizing available staff training tools and incentives, staff and client feedback and data analysis.
• Works collaboratively with Program Administrators to engage teaching staff in the implementation of the program’s mission, vision, and educational goals.
• Mentoring and coaching educators daily in implementation of curriculum, interactions, and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Oversee implementation of curriculum in classrooms. Ensure developmentally appropriate programming including environment and interactions. 
• Promote a culture of professionalism in communicating with teaching staff and families. 
• Ensure that the learning environment is conducive to learning through monitoring, maintaining and improving indoor and outdoor learning environments. 
• Oversee and conduct new staff orientation and ongoing training and coaching.
• Works with teaching staff to develop individual professional development plans with targeted goals to enhance performance and promote commitment to the field. 
• Assist Program Director/Assistant Director with classroom/teacher observations as required by EEC.
• Conduct ITERS/ECERS/SACERS within the program as needed. 
• Order classroom materials as needed. 
• Oversee Pyramid Model framework within the classrooms to support social and emotional development.
• Oversee Comprehensive Services Plan and make referrals as needed. 
• Implement a cohesive, program wide approach to promoting social and emotional development, preventing challenging behavior and addressing challenging behavior that does occur. 
• Manage, maintain and oversee ongoing assessment/progress reports. (TSG) (ASQ)
• Assist Program Director with EEC licensing, NAEYC Accreditation. 
• Oversee PQR for center staff, update training as needed. Conduct training as necessary for center staff. 
• Participate in the planning and implementation of agency Professional Development Day. 
• Participate in the planning and implementation of Family Engagement Events and End of Year Celebrations.

 Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet EEC requirements for Directors.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a child care setting.
• Extensive MS Office experience (Word, Excel, Team, PPT)
• Have a passion for children, their development and well-being, and the early childhood education profession.
• Must be warm and have a friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others and be able to relate well to children and co-workers.
• Have the ability to supervise and manage multiple staff members.
• Must be willing to fulfill his/her responsibilities in accordance with the center’s educational philosophy, goals, and mission.
