Responsibilities:

- Prepare and assemble cold food items for banquets and events, including salads, dressings, hors d’oeuvres, cold appetizers, charcuterie, canapés, and plated desserts as assigned.

- Execute banquet menus according to standardized recipes, event orders, and presentation guidelines.

- Assist with large-scale food production, plating, and garnishing to ensure timely service.

- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cold food preparation area in compliance with food safety standards.

- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistency and quality across all cold food offerings.

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a similar cold food or garde manger role, preferably in a banquet or catering environment.

- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

- Creative mindset with an eye for visual presentation and garnishing.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
