Who we’re looking for:

Veterans Benefits Guide is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead marketing efforts that drive growth, strengthen brand awareness, and support lead generation across the organization.

In this role, you will oversee marketing strategy and execution across digital advertising, brand management, creative services, sponsorships, partnerships, website management, and performance measurement. You will also directly manage a growing marketing team and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Marketing strategy


Provide strategic oversight and direction for all marketing initiatives, ensuring programs, campaigns, and tactics align with company goals, support organizational growth, and strengthen brand awareness.


Lead generation and digital advertising


Drive the organization's lead generation strategy and performance. Closely track monthly and annual lead-generation goals and ensure marketing initiatives consistently meet or exceed these targets. Oversee digital advertising efforts, with a strong emphasis on Google Ads and other performance marketing channels. Manage the relationship with the organization's external digital marketing strategist to ensure accountability, optimization, and return on investment.


Brand strategy and creative services


Provide strategic oversight of the company's brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and visual identity. Manage and mentor creative staff, ensuring all marketing materials and campaigns align with brand standards, business objectives, and audience needs.


Engagement, sponsorships, and partnerships


Oversee the organization's engagement strategy, including sponsorships, partnerships, events, community outreach and social impact initiatives. Manage and develop engagement staff while ensuring activities support brand awareness, lead generation, and business objectives.


Digital strategy


Provide strategic oversight of the company's website and digital experience. Manage the organization's relationship with the web agency and ensure the website remains accurate, effective, optimized, and aligned with marketing and business goals.


People management and team leadership


Directly manage and develop a marketing team, including creative and engagement staff. Set goals, provide feedback, support professional growth, and foster collaboration and accountability.


Strategic planning and counsel


Advise senior leadership on marketing strategy, audience engagement, customer acquisition, brand positioning, and market opportunities. Lead the development of comprehensive marketing plans supporting company initiatives and priorities.


Content review and quality control


Review and approve high-visibility marketing materials, campaigns, advertisements, website content, creative assets, sponsorship activations, and promotional materials, ensuring accuracy, effectiveness, and adherence to AP style and brand standards.


Brand consistency and stewardship


Ensure all marketing initiatives consistently reflect company values, brand guidelines, and messaging standards across digital, print, advertising, event, and partner channels.


Measurement and optimization


Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, lead-generation programs, advertising performance, website performance, sponsorships, and engagement initiatives. 

Collaborate with the assigned data and insight analyst to use insights and analytics to refine strategies and improve results


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Experience leading and developing direct reports.
  • Strong background in lead generation and digital advertising.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads, marketing analytics, and campaign optimization.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and marketing budgets.
  • Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively.
  • Experience serving Veteran audiences or understanding military and Veteran culture is strongly preferred.


Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, demand generation, brand management, or a related field.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This position has direct supervisory responsibility

Salary Description
$140,000.00 to $145,000.00
