Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our corporate HR team and support both corporate and manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with plant HR teams while also serving as backup support for benefits and payroll functions. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving HR processes and employee experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide employee relations support, investigations, and guidance to leaders on performance management, corrective action,    promotions, transfers, and policy compliance.
  • Partner with plant HR teams on recruiting, onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives.
  • Support benefits administration including employee inquiries, leave coordination, open enrollment, and wellness initiatives.
  • Cross-train to provide backup payroll support including biweekly payroll processing, compliance, reconciliations, and      year-end activities.
  • Lead HR process improvement initiatives, standardize procedures, maintain HRIS data integrity, and develop HR reporting      dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, safety standards, GMPs, and GFSI requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role.
  • Working knowledge of benefits, payroll, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong understanding of federal and Wisconsin employment law; multi-state experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRIS platforms.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, or other 24/7 operational environments preferred.
