Drop/Count Representative

Purpose: The Drop/Count Representative is responsible for the secure collection (“drop”) and counting of gaming proceeds from slot machines and other gaming devices. This position ensures accuracy, accountability, and compliance with all internal controls and regulatory requirements related to gaming revenue handling.
The incumbent plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of casino cash operations.
Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
· Drop Process
· Participate in the secure removal of cash boxes (bill validator boxes) from gaming machines
· Transport drop boxes to the count room following strict security procedures
· Maintain chain of custody and ensure all movements are documented
· Count Room Operations
· Count and verify currency from drop boxes using count equipment
· Sort, bundle, and record cash totals accurately
· Reconcile counted amounts against system reports and documentation
· Identify and report discrepancies immediately
· Compliance & Security
· Follow all internal controls, surveillance requirements, and gaming regulations
· Maintain strict adherence to segregation of duties and count room protocols
· Ensure count room access procedures are followed at all times
· Participate in dual verification processes and team counts
· Documentation & Reporting
· Complete required count sheets, logs, and reconciliation reports
· Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly submitted
· Assist with audits and reviews as needed

Minimum Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
· High school diploma or GED;
· One (1) year of cash handling, accounting support, or related experience;
· OR
· Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the position
· Must be eligible for and obtain a Tribal Gaming License.
· Must pass a background investigation in accordance with TGRA and National Indian Gaming Commission requirements.
Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, skills):
· Experience in casino count room operations
· Familiarity with gaming systems and count equipment
· Experience working in a regulated or security-sensitive environment

· The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting and is generally sedentary, requiring routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying of items weighing less than 40 lbs.
