Diabetology Fellowship - Hoag Health
The Hoag Diabetology Fellowship in Newport Beach, California, is the first program of its kind in Southern California, offering immersive, hands-on training in advanced diabetes technologies, complex patient care, and innovative treatment models - all within Orange County’s leading healthcare system.
This one-year program, recognized by the American College of Diabetology, is led by Program Director David Ahn, MD, alongside a distinguished faculty known for their excellence in diabetes management, cutting-edge research, and medical education.
Program Highlights

- Graduates are eligible to sit for the American College of Diabetology (ACD) Board Examination

Eligibility
- Applicants must have completed an ACGME Accredited Internal Medicine Residency and be board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine.
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain an unrestricted California medical license prior to the beginning of fellowship training.
