Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and support to youth during assigned shifts.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents.
- Assist youth with daily living activities, routines, and personal development goals.
- Facilitate recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
- Implement treatment plans and behavior support strategies as directed.
- Monitor resident behavior and document observations accurately.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, school, and community activities.
- Conduct room checks, safety checks, and facility inspections as required.
- Respond appropriately to behavioral crises and emergency situations.
- Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
- Complete required documentation and reports before the end of each shift.
- Attend staff meetings and mandatory training sessions.
Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with youth, behavioral health, social services, education, or residential care preferred.
- Ability to work with youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
- CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
