PRTF Youth Mentor
Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Provide direct supervision and support to youth during assigned shifts.
  •  Build positive, professional relationships with residents.
  •  Assist youth with daily living activities, routines, and personal development goals.
  •  Facilitate recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities.
  •  Implement treatment plans and behavior support strategies as directed.
  •  Monitor resident behavior and document observations accurately.
  •  Assist with transportation to appointments, school, and community activities.
  •  Conduct room checks, safety checks, and facility inspections as required.
  •  Respond appropriately to behavioral crises and emergency situations.
  •  Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution skills.
  •  Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
  •  Complete required documentation and reports before the end of each shift.
  •  Attend staff meetings and mandatory training sessions.


Requirements

Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or GED required.
  •  Experience working with youth, behavioral health, social services, education, or residential care preferred.
  •  Ability to work with youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges.
  •  CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Prevention/Intervention certification (or ability to obtain).
  •  Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  •  Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
