Position Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests, residents, customers, and employees. This position performs preventative maintenance and responds to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general maintenance issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance programs according to established schedules.
- Respond promptly to work orders, service requests, and emergency maintenance situations.
- Inspect facilities for safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance needs.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, appliances, walls, flooring, and other property assets.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Assist with property renovations, special projects, and event support as assigned.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and storage areas.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification, trade school training, or related experience preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of maintenance, facilities, engineering, or related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs if required.
Schedule
Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed based on hotel occupancy, staffing needs, and business levels.
